To be honest though I think an easier way to do this now would be to just utilize Shelfari RSS feeds, or an API if they have one. This script was designed basically to keep a library of books you've read, and shelfari does exactly that waaay better than any wordpress plugin ever could. Just food for thought =) The code is all GPL'd so feel free to continue development on it! Also if you do come up with anything I'd be more than happy to link anyone here to your project page for it.
