Wow, great blog. I love reading blogs about Voice over IP! It’s such an exciting technology. I have learned a lot in implementing a small VoIP network at home, and am thinking of starting VoIP business in my area. There are a number of small businesses in my region that would benefit from it greatly. Thanks again for this blog – it is really good.

Don’t forget that some people use linux too, and for what I have been reading about, Lucida Grande nor Lucida Sans Unicode exist in Linux, so I think the best to do would be:

font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, ‘Verdana’, sans-serif;

I have compared Lucida G. with Verdana, and the are very similar… Although Verdana seems bigger, yet when it comes to height, it is 1px less than Lucida Grande…

I have started on a big web application so have been planning how I will make it look like!

As a web designer Lucinda Grande is unbeatable on a Mac – but most PC uses won’t have the font, so if I set my font to

“Lucida Grande”, “Lucida Sans Unicode”, sans-serif;

PC users will see Lucinda Sans Unicode – its okay but no where as good as Lucinda Grande on a Mac.

This doesn’t seem to be working anymore. I was unable to locate the files and Safari doesn’t seem to know Lucida Grande.

Two years ago we got unlimited rentals and in store exchanges per month (three out at a time) for $14.95. Then that was cut back to two DVDs out at a time with a limited number of in store exchanges. Then the price went up. Then only three in store exchanges and it takes almost a WEEK to get a new movie in our mailbox. Now the three in store exchanges count as part of our queue, so if we have an in store exchange in hand, they won’t ship a DVD from your online queue. We complained online (the kids in the store can’t help it) but it just goes into a black hole.

By all means Justin have at it. To be honest though I think an easier way to do this now would be to just utilize Shelfari RSS feeds, or an API if they have one. This script was designed basically to keep a library of books you’ve read, and shelfari does exactly that waaay better than any wordpress plugin ever could. Just food for thought =) The code is all GPL’d so feel free to continue development on it! Also if you do come up with anything I’d be more than happy to link anyone here to your project page for it. I still get tons of hits to this page looking for a plugin like this heh.

Thanks, dude, for a simple and working solution. I tried two “feature-rich” progress bars before this and neither of these worked, even after some php tweaking.

If you choose to add features and otherwise widgetize this, please also keep the simple solution :).

I feel you Bill C – price increases, cutbacks in free rentals, delayed shipments – and, at least for me, sending me stuff out of order on my queue even if No. 1 is availble. Seriously, skipping 5 seasons of a T.V. show that lists as “avaible” to send me some random thing farther down on my list? Half the time its a crap shoot, irregardless if something is “available” or not.

after a long time not getting online or store rentals I thought I would give the store one more chance. I rented 2 Two movies I could not believe what they charged me. $5.25 a movie, I asked the clerk why they were charging so much her reply was BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE PAYING IT. Needless to say I did not and will not get movies from blockbusters. In this economy I would rather put that amount in my gas tank.

I always wondered why I have Lucida Grande on my Vista, and hoped that everyone using Vista had it, too.
Sadly enough, I found by reading this article that Safari brings the font with it.
Why browser/OS/font compatibility is always about bad news? :) I don’t remember any recent reason for cross-browser happiness except for IE5.x going under 1%.

I personally don’t like Lucida Grande, although if you go to the Windows spectrum and look at Segoe UI or Calibri, those are nice looking fonts.
