The amount of comment spam getting through akismet is getting a bit out of hand. Partially my fault for not checking very often. I just cleared 40+ spam comments and trackbacks that made it through akismet and onto my site. The ratio is pretty good as akismet caught over 4000 of them. So 1% make it through which is pretty good considering I have never seen a false positive. Just annoying to come back and have to clear out spam comments.

Have you tried Bad Behavior with Akismet? They seem to work pretty well.
I have been using Bad Behavior on here for a looong time, I noticed I haven’t updated it in a long time though, just updated to the latest version. Hopefully that will help with the spam on here.
