Been a while since I posted, just have a few random things …
Dude … I got a Dell. I know I know … leave me alone. It was only $360 brand new on Craigs List for a pentium D 915 2.8GHz. And it came with Vista! Did you know that the new solitaire in Vista requires a hardware acceleration driver to operate properly? SOLITAIRE! Better go buy your $350 graphics card so you can get your solitaire on. EXTREME!
Now that I have a windows PC stuck on my desk I was in search for a decent text editor and came accross E. The developer is working with Allan Odgaard the editor of the TextMate, the best text editor ever, and E is going to be a fully compatible text editor for TM bundles including snippets! The transition between the two should be fairly easy and I am looking forward to some maturity on the app, it is still in it’s infancy.
I hate Cox and I hate Qwest and if anyone knows who I can get internet from in the greater Phoenix area for a reasonable price with reasonable speeds please let me know. Cox keeps shutting us off for over using bandwidth. I believe it’s because I live in such a densely populated area and my usages are more limited than other areas. Qwest is being particularly lame about getting the service I just ordered turned on. It was supposed to be on thursday but they had to do some work on the line. They did that and it all greens up but now my account isn’t activated so I can’t authenticate. They can’t fix that until monday. I haven’t had internet for almost a month. I wander around from hotspot to hotspot like a nomad.
I got my hands on an invite to 8 Apps. I am fairly impressed so far. It still needs some polishing but I like what they are doing. If you need an invite let me know. And if you are on 8 Apps already, feel free to add me.
Blockbuster Online is amazing! Get this … they mail you 3 movies … you watch them, copy them, rip them, whatever you do with DVD’s … when you are done … you take them back to the store and EXCHANGE them at the store … that’s right, you walk in with your 3 blockbuster online movies … and walk out with three store rentals. OMGz!!!! They still mail you your next 3 movies on your list! Twice the movies! <3 Blockbuster.
