Apparently I am very bad at handling it and keeping track of how much I spend. Anyone got any suggestions on a good way to keep track of such a thing? It will have to be a way to keep track of it on the go, because I lose things like receipts. Hence, writing it down on a piece of paper wont do any good either as I could lose that =/ Any suggestions are more than welcome, i’m sick of over drawing my account!

Sorry son, you are going to have to learn to write it down or keep your receipts and put them into a program like Money or Quicken like I do. Keeping track of it in your head doesn’t work. I speak from years and years of experience.

i have all of my bills automatic withdrawal from my bank account. each paycheck i go to the atm and take out a specific amount of cash. thats my spending money until next paycheck. dont use the card for anything because it gets out of hand way too easily.
of course this requires all bills to be automated (can be a pain in the ass to setup) and a fair amount of planning to figure out exactly how much to withdraw each paycheck.
works great for me. nothing is written down and ive never been overdrawn in over 5 years
