Take it from me, when you don’t care about keeping your music organized, one day it will bother you and you will waste 8 hours of the day rating and finding album art for about 1/6 of your music collection and not be looking forward to finishing. However should you ever be in this situation I recomend the following tools for accomplishing this(on the mac) …

iEatBrainz - The iEatBrainz music tagger will access the musicbrainz database of ID3 tags and tag all your music for you. Careful and make sure you check each song though … it’s not perfect!

The Album Art Widget - A Dashboard widget for OS X Tiger that will lookup the album art for the song you are playing, allows you to add it to your iTune’s music file, also will let you rate the song you are listening to. Combined with the iTunes dashboard widget remote that comes with tiger you can breeze through your music!

FetchArt - Alternatively if you loathe dashboard or just don’t have it you can use FetchArt to grab those album covers for your songs.

You will of course need iTunes. I can also say that there are equivalent tools for windows should you be stuck using it and want to organize all your music. Only thing you need now is lots and lots of free time ;-)
