So I am actually writing this in the middle of the keynote as Andy speaks. I have to admit I have never heard of Andy Ihnatko before, but I am instantly a fan. This guy is such a great public speaker and he is incredibly funny. The topic of this keynote was “2000 things you should already know about the mac” and he is doing it in a fairly subversive way. Kind of like you sit down and listen to him talk and when he is done you realize “Wow, he just covered alot of topics” and you never even realized it.
So far the keynote has covered a $0.02 HUD for your car using the Mac, the PPC to Intel switch(Andy thinks its a good thing btw as he made abundantly clear) for the Mac, a little bit of windows bashing wrapped around a good point on why OS X is better than Windows, a comparison of OS X and Windows, how they each deal with media, and why Apple and Microsoft each have thier own place in the future of personal media and why it would be best that they work together, the user interface and why it hasn’t changed much, why people don’t use dashboard, possible future for the user interface, including a very very awesome “sidebar” that Andy wants to see in the next version of OS X, and quite frankly, so would I, in addition many many more topics that I don’t really remember specifically. In closing he played a short little number with his ukulele that he had made to work with GarageBand, although he didn’t have enough time to demonstrate that. If this keynote ends up being available for download I will post a link to it on here so you can watch it for those of you not fortunate enough to be able to show up here at MacWorld.
If you want to read some real reports on the keynote and the rest of macworld I recomend you visit TUAW for information on macworld from ‘professional’ bloggers :-P Thats all for now, I am off to the expo!

Why is professional in quotes? Hmmm?
;)
Thanks for the link.
Haha, the only thing intended by that was to imply my lack of professionalism in blogging as shaitan pointed out earlier today. I must say though I am in awe that you found this site. I remember sitting down at the keynote thinking “Someone from TUAW is doing the same thing i’m doing right now, and he’s getting paid to be here.” I actually saw you at MacWorld but was to star struck to go introduce myself ;-) But seriously I would have gone to the meetup had it not been slated to be at a bar, what with my lack of ability to enter such an establishment. Thanks for visiting.
Seriously, your input is as good as any of those “professional’ bloggers. But, I do wonder of you are using a mac with OS X, as spelling help is system-wide utility (only trobuble is it suggest ‘pacifist’ for the misspelt pecimist aka pessimist). Highlight a word, right-click or control-click on it and spelling alternatives for misspelt words will appear in popup menu (of course a misspelt word that replicates another correctly spelt word, will not have a suggested word, since computers still don’t understand context). Also install the free OmniDictionary and free Nisus Theasaurus. You can then highlight a word and use the ‘Services’ menuitem under the application menu to take advantage of a dictionary (web based) or thesaurus (local resource).
BTW, your two macworld comments are somehow found by Macsurfer and are listed under Analysis/Commentary/Editorial/Opinion section. Better hurry to see the links, as they will be gone tomorrow (http://www.macsurfer.com/)
Ah, so that is how people found my site, I have actually been listed on there at least once before, lots of great stuff on that site(other than mine of course). And yes I am using a Mac with OS X, freshly updated to 10.4.2 … I have uploaded a screenshot of me writing this on flickr. And while my input may be just as good as any of those professional bloggers, I have read my site before and I know that I am not the best in putting an opinion into a well written article. I am working on that issue though, hopefully going to college will help remedy that some. Thanks for reading :-)
