w00t!@#

I heard back from “The Girl” today around noon(sorry I haven’t had access to the internet for a few hours) and she got the days off work. We will be leaving Wendsday night for Boston, and she will be flying out to Chicago the Wendsday after that. So we will have a week to spend together before she leaves! Two of those days will be on the road driving but it will still be awesome!

So yeah I just thought I would let everyone know :-) I am at a Memorial Day BBQ right now and I should probably get back with them heh … Have a nice day!

Update …

So I got a call from “The Girl” this morning and so far so good. She talked to her dad and he is going to help out with the plane travel so that is all set. She also talked to work and her boss said they are going to work out the schedule tonight and let her kno tomorrow morning if she can have the days off. Everyone cross your fingers!

More Last Minute Changes!

Ok so I went to see “The Girl” on my way out of town and the subject of her driving out to Boston with me and then flying into Chicago to see some family came up. As you can imagine I really like this idea! So I decided to stay in town for one last day and she is going to see if she can make it happen, the only issue with it right now is her work schedule. If that all pans out we will leave Wendsday night and drive straight through alternating shifts driving and arrive in Boston some time Friday night. We will spend about 4 days there checking out the city and doing the whole tourist thing and then she will fly to Chicago. Will update on the status of this tomorrow as soon as I find out.

This also has another added bonus, as if spending the time with her wasn’t enough :-D I get to spend the next 4 days being a bum and crashing at people’s places and not having anything to do. I’ve always wanted to try that!

Change of plans!

Ok so I was planning on being on the road right now on my way to Boston. I was supossed to have my last paycheck direct deposited into my account just like always. But I woke up to find that it was not there. I figured oh well they must have just sent the check in to work like they do with my pay stubs. So I went down there to find that it wasn’t there either. I called my boss and he said oh yeah they mailed that out. This is all after talking to him and telling him I would be in to pick up my pay stub etc etc. Would have been nice to know they were going to mail it. Had I known that I would have given them my new address. I get the number for the payroll lady from him and I call her. She tells me she FedEx’d my paycheck to my old address on Tuesday. After explaining that I no longer live there she called FedEx to find out where my package was. She calls me back and tells me its down at the FedEx office all the way on the other side of town. At this poin I am just like whatever I just need my paycheck. So I get all the info from her and head over to the FedEx office. When I get there they tell me my package is on the road and it wont be back until 6pm. They close at 6:15pm. I wont be able to cash my check until tomorrow morning now.

But since I am staying an extra day a few good things come of it. My friend Rax hooked me up with a ticket to the Nine Inch Nails concert tonight at the Marquee Theatre. This is the smallest show on thier tour with a maximum capacity of 1000 people. The Dresden Dolls are opening up for them too. I’m uber exicted about that. Also my uncle is spining his first party tonight and I am going to get to go check that out as well. When I wake up I still have some cleaning to do and I will have to cash my check and then I am gone, assuming all goes accordin to plan. But that whole paycheck fiasco really got under my skin. I was looking forward to leaving today :( But all is not lost I suppose. I will report back on the concert tomorrow :-D
