I haven’t written about a movie in a long time now. Of course I haven’t seen any new movies in quite a while too heh. I went and saw Sahara. It wasn’t anything like I expected it to be from the previews but it was good! Read on at your own risk, possible spoilers!

I have lived on my own for about nine and a half months now, and for the first time tonight I thuoght it might be a good idea to grocery shopping, like for actual food. I’ve gone to the grocery store before for certain stuff, like ramen, and more ramen … oh and I got some ramen too, but never spent more than a few dollars. So for about 9 months now I have been eating out ALL the time and it got to be so expensive and I never realised it. So yeah I went grocery shopping for the first time, and I got a bunch of junk LOL
Also, as you can see by going to apple.com, Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger comes out in 11 days! I hear that on the day they release a new OS you get 10% off everything in thier store, so I have decided that April 29th is the time to buy my laptop. I am going down to the bank tommorow to see about getting a personal loan. If they say now i’m pretty much screwed so wish me luck!

Ok so last night was friday night of course, I unfortunately had to work until 11pm that night which kind of sucked but I can’t go to any clubs until after last call at 2am yet anyways. So after I get off work I head down to the cafe to meet up with the usual crowd, and was astonished to find the place empty … on a friday night! So I played solitaire and BS’d with random people who showed up for a bit and then left to go out for the night.
Come 2am I am on my way to this club called tranzylvania in downtown Phoenix which my friends have done nothing but rave about for a good month. I never went down for various reasons, the main reason being that the cover is $7 and they close at 3am. I finally agreed to go down there because they would not stop bugging me. I get there at 2am and find out that they have not yet cleaned up after the drunkards yet and I would not be let in until they are done. It took them about 30 minutes to do this, so by this time it is 2:30am and they close at 3am. I grit my teeth and pay my $7 cover for only 30 minutes in the club after almost everyone has left. The only saving grace was that I saw some people I haven’t seen in a while, apparently this club is the spot heh.
Through one of my friends I haven’t seen in a while I met a guy who invited me to an after party at his casaand informs me that he brews his own alcohol and invited me to try some. I informed all of my friends about this after party and inquired if they wanted to go, the current plan was to go back to the cafe which I had been at most of the night already and didn’t really want to go back. Most of the group went, a few decided to go to the cafe anyways.
So we get to the house and introductions are had etc etc and then drinks begin to be handed out. I hear many different liquors I have never heard of being listed off and a friend recomends mead which he exlpains is a kind of honey wine. I opted to not go with the honey flavoured wine and chose the strawberry mead. It was very very good actually and I did end up trying the honey mead before the night was over as well. I only had 2 glasses of mead and I felt like I had 6 or 7 7&7’s, which isn’t entirely bad as i’m a big guy and can handle my alcohol heh, but from 2 glasses I was more than pleasantly buzzed and not yet drunk. It was a very good night I hung out for a few more hours until I was good to drive home, I did not expect that stuff to hit me so hard or I would not have driven there.
So that was my friday night and my first experience with home brewed alcohol and actually the first time I have ever drank wine either, I must say the mead was very good I just might have to risk trying regular wine once more, I had it once and did not like it at all. Any recomendations on a good bottle of wine?
