As most of you know apple is releasing thier new OS on the 29th of April. When I found out the actual release date I absolutely could not stand not having my mac anymore! So I made some calls to various credit card company’s and banks and got approved for a loan so I could get a laptop!!! So on April 29th I will be heading down to the apple store for the release party and to buy my new laptop! *EXCITEMENT*
I did call the apple store and got some more info on the release because it is a bit sketchy as of now and the guy did not know if computers sold on the 29th would come with OSX 10.4 preloaded on them, so I may have to wait until saturday to buy it *HARUMPH* I’ve waited long enough damnit!!! LOL
This will also give me one other thing to cross off of my shopping list for my eurotrip!!! I am also ordering my passport next friday, I just need to go get all the forms and some passport pictures.
That’s pretty cool. It’s usually always good news when Apple releases a new OS. I’ll never buy an Apple (unless I decide to get a laptop… maybe), but I am looking forward to emulating it. (evil grin)
P.S. How did you get your Blogroll to show whether sites have been recently updated or not?
I nearly bought a Mac six months ago… I do a little bit of Graphic Design and I have always thought Macs to be pretty spiffy, but they remain a little bit alien to me as I’ve grown up a PC man… If I knew how to do half the stuff on a Mac that I can on a PC there would be no competition, Mac all the way! (So pretty!)
So which for you? Powerbook or Ibook? 12″ 14″ 17″? I hope Tiger proves to be all you expect and goodluck with your laptop too.
Wow, I am still speechless from looking at the G5 desktop with the 23 inch screen. It just blew me away. The colours are just right, there is no blur from the screen, and everything is just sooo smooth. Talk about screen real-estate! And I thought 21 inches was big.
It seems that every time I walk into a Mac shop things are just that much better. I’d get one tomorrow if it didn’t mean that it would be next to useless as a Linux box if I so wanted. ;)
Andrew: I’m going for the 12″ iBook, if I had the money I would go for the 12″ PowerBook though. I wouldn’t want anything bigger than that, I just dont need to carry around a laptop that big heh. And you are never gonna learn how to do all that stuff on a mac unless you use one :P That is what i’m doing as I don’t know alot about the macs and thier interface, but I can learn pretty quickly :)
Isaac: I dunno who you heard that from but Mac’s are stupendous as Linux boxes, the best part is, you can practically turn it into a Linux box without removing OSX! I would do some research on it if I were you :)
Wow, I didn’t know that. All I remember is that I tried to access the BIOS on one of the iMACs and I couldn’t get it working… true I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but I just gave up after I couldn’t find the button combination to boot Knoppix from CD :(
