Ok so I talked to one of my friends who works for Hollywood Video about the offers to buy it. Apparently what is going to happen is the former owner of Hollywood video is wanting to buy the company back so he retains soul ownership instead of it being a publicly traded company. They are required to allow anyone to make an offer to purchase thier company. So it doesn’t look like Blockbuster is going to be monopolizing the video rental industry, thank god.
