Okay so some friends are over last night, were drinking, having a good time, etc … Me and a friend are sitting at my computer, doing nothing just reading something. All of a sudden it stops responding and starts clicking from the drive bay area! Im like oh shit my HD went out, I tried turning the thing off before it got worse. Wasnt happening. Tried a soft reset, tried a hard reset, tried just turning it off, I eventually had to just unplug the damn thing. Get up this morning to look at it, wont even turn on. Its doing all kinds of wierd stuff. I got my friends friend to look at it cuz hes a technician, turns out the power supply just fucking DIED! While doing nothing it just fucking died. So now I have to go pick up a new power supply and I have like no money. Isn’t life grand :)

Yeah, I know what you mean, I go through PSUs at a rate of knots, about 1 every 9 months at the moment, and that’s with a surge protector! A word of warning, those wee USB light thingys draw A LOT of power, so much so, that you can fill a room with black smoke! Grr! :)
LOL the whole room? Good thing I loathe USB and dont use it for anything.
