Ok its probably pretty damn obvious I dont know anything about web design. Im messing around with fonts and stuff right now so dont be surprised if they change every once in a while. Also if anyone has any experience in web design and wants to help i’ll send you a postcard from the country of your choice while im in europe :)

How shameless!

Yes, yes I did add a paypal donate button to my site, I feel so low and shameless! Oh well LOL If you want to donate to my eurofund which as you can see is empty right now, but not for long, just click on the link. If you want to help out but dont want to give money and live in europe you can take me out for drinks or something when im there :) Im compiling a list of people to meet on my trip and so far im up to about 15!

Once I pay off my massively huge($400 LOL) credit card debt, which should be in the next couple weeks, I am going to start putting all that money towords my eurotrip. Quite a but of the funds will be for purchasing supplies, ive compiled a short list of things off the top of my head so far that I need to get …

  • Laptop – going for an apple iBook I think, unless I can find a really nice PC laptop
  • Camera – Leaning towords a Sony CyberShot or a Cannon Power Shot
  • MP3 player – Either a Neuros or an iRiver, both are nice in thier own way … leaning towords the iRiver
  • Pool Cue – Thats right I play alot of pool here in the states and I plan on playing it in many other countries too. I have already put in an order for a custom Keith Josey pool cue and it should be finished in October. I will have plenty of time to break it in.
  • A good backpack – I am going to need a very good backpack. From the reviews it got, this one looks like a viable candidate. Although I am taking suggestions on a good backpack.
  • Passport – Pretty self explanitory but I will need one of these heh

So far thats all I have on my list. If you have any other suggestions for things I will need please let me know. Leave a comment, email me, whatever.

Weclome to the new site!

OK I have moved the domain irgeek.net over to my new server with a new look running wordpress. Thanks to Budget Dedicated for this awesome virtual server under UML running gentoo. I am going to soon be adding the domain myeurotrip.org to this same site as well. Look forward to many cool new things as wordpress is awesome and I will have time to code more usefull stuff than functional stuff for the website.

For those of you who frequented my old site and have no clue what this is all about lemme lay it down for you. I plan on taking off next fall from Phoenix, AZ to London, UK with as much money as I can save up between now and then, and not coming back untill it is gone. I am going to travel around and just enjoy myself. I will be documenting the whole trip on this blog, hence the domain myeurotrip.org, as well as the preperation for the trip. You’ll notice that there is an image associated with every post, this image will be associated with the country I am posting from, for a while its just going to be the american flag as im not leaving for a while but it will be usefull eventually! I welcome all advice as im pretty much flying by the seat of my pants on this one.

You may also notice the site is pretty bare at this point. I am working on it everyday and adding stuff. There will more features added as I go. If anyone has any ideas or requests for stuff to add just send me an email. For the time being you should be able to register, login, leave comments, etc …
